Rechargeble batteries are cool, but sometimes they are too much of a hassle. Finding the charger, having a fresh set available when needed etc.

Boffins are working on a new design dubbed light catcher which proposes to do just that. A solar powered rechargeable battery, no extra charger needed.
Currently being tested with AA, and AAA sized batteries, these photoelectronic batteries, are a very cool, and very green idea, that could radically change things.
According to new predictions from Bloomberg New Energy Finance, solar power is going to be the wallet-friendly option as soon as 2013.
